If you have an angled place, or as in our case a desk with drawers, you can easily cut the ordered mat carefully with sharp scissors and adjust the floor protection mat easily and individually. This way the space under the table is protected from the rollers of the office chair just like the rest of the space. We want to show you here how you can easily and individually adjust the floor protection mat. The foil is just 0.3 mm thin and can be easily attached like a mobile phone protection foil. It’s easier when you’re two, but for smaller areas it also works perfect alone. Simply start at one corner and then, piece by piece, peel off the backing paper and spread the film on the floor.

After application you will notice that it looks “spotty”, but that’s not a problem, because the glue will set within 1-2 weeks and you won’t see these streaks from sticking anymore. You will also see the imprints of the rollers of the office chair at first, but this will disappear after a short time.

Please make sure that the floor is clean and wiped.

ATTENTION:

You must wait until the floor is completely dry to avoid trapping moisture with the floor mat. This can take a few hours, as the moisture in the joints takes longer, especially with laminate.

On the backing paper there is also a grid as an aid, so that you can easily orientate yourself. But also pay attention to the direction of the cut, the floor protection mat should be on top when measuring. If you use the grid on the back, you have to work mirror-inverted, otherwise you might cut off the wrong side!
